Know all men by these presents that
we John Wilson &
William Thomas acknowledge ourselves indebted to the
Commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of £50
current money, which payment well and truly to be
made. We bind ourselves, our heirs, X jointly and
severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our
seals & dated this 9th day of Augst 1830.
The condition of the above obligation is such
that whereas the above bound John Wilson
is about to obtain a license for a marriage intended
between the said John Wilson & Mary Thomas
Now should there be no lawful cause to obstruct
said marriage then this obligation shall be void
else remain in full force & virtue.
